" During the 1970s I was an illustrator. I did Rhythmistic illustrations for magazines such as Playboy's hip mag, OUI! Below is one I did for a preview about David Bowie. It is raw and powerful. One artist interpreting the vision of another. I was the right talent for the job. Don't let that Black beauty on the cover fool you. OUI was the market have at the time, of upward mobile, well monied white males who were growing bored with other skin mags."

This image was created by Onli in 1977 for the Paris based trend setting magazine MODE Avant Garde. It is a sample of the types of innovative designs and art approaches Onli is known for. Collectors, curators and critics may want to re-evaluate Onli's works, past, present and future.
Onli is no longer a major market illustrator. He is now a retired Chicago Public School Art Educator, a current Adjunct professor of Art Appreciation and Studio Drawing at the Harold Washington College in Chicago.
His main focus is to take his concepts and creative practice of Rhythmistic visual art and Graphic Novels from the level of marginalized innovations to mainstream artistic juggernauts.
Again, an insightful alert to collectors, curators and critics.
